Lightning - Maria Stepek Doherty
Vivid lightning streaks the startled sky,
Thunder God's belly rumbles loud.
Prisms of sparkling light seed the earth,
With iridescent electricity
As though the world is set afire,
In softly flickering golden flames,
Consuming the darkness.
