Desolate

Its depth of understanding need
To only be considered,
For those of us whose hearts concede
Become the souls embittered,
Alone in mind and spirit means
That even people near
Are not in retrospective scenes
Of soothing guilt and fear.
We search for others with lament
So similar to ours,
And grant each other permanent
Refrain from listless hours.
